The Ghost Protocol camera effect that inspired Holoscape

A fixed screen can feel like a window when the view changes in response to the person looking at it. That is the simple visual idea behind Holoscape.

Laser corridor security scene used as a visual reference for Holoscape's shifting-camera concept
Visual reference supplied for this page. Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol is a Paramount Pictures film; Holoscape and Yktis SAS are independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by the film, its studio, or its creators.

What we borrowed

The feeling of a camera looking through a constrained space: foreground obstacles, a distant vanishing point, and tension created by small changes in viewpoint.

What we built

A Windows desktop app that uses webcam head tracking to move a real-time 3D scene's virtual camera. It is an interactive wallpaper concept, not a recreation of the film.

Why this visual reference matters

The corridor works because your eye reads depth from perspective, occlusion, and the relationship between near and far objects. Holoscape applies the same visual language to desktop scenes: move slightly, and the perspective shifts rather than playing back as a flat loop.
