Under the hood

How it works

01

Head tracking

Your webcam detects the position of your head in real time, locally, without storing or sharing any data.

02

Camera movement

The virtual camera inside the 3D scene shifts in response — matching the exact direction and distance of your head movement.

03

Depth illusion

As the perspective changes, your brain interprets the scene as having real depth.

Performance

Runs quietly in the background

Processor~5%CPU usage

Head tracking runs entirely on your computer. Nothing ever leaves your machine.

No video or images are ever stored or sent to a server.

The webcam feed is processed in memory and discarded instantly.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The perspective can only be correct for one viewpoint at a time, so multiple people in frame will likely make it unstable. It's a fundamental constraint of the illusion.

Yes, only one app can use the webcam at a time. We plan to detect when another application needs the camera and release it automatically.
